Christmas 2018

Browse the photos below and [click here for carols audio] to listen to the live recordings of all the songs from the Carols and Candles evening.

West Suffolk Vineyard Church started December with a family party and nativity. We are grateful to the teams, organisers and helpers who gave us a disco, face painting, numerous craft activities as well as the refreshments and a wonderful nativity story - great dressing up by everyone!

In December we wanted to give away mince pies to the businesses around Northern Way where our office and soon-to-be Sunday-venue is located and to the houses nearby along Mildenhall Road and Marham Park. Huge thanks to everyone who collected the 200 boxes of pies and then gave them away.

Our kinship groups were also out giving away chocolates to people who work and are serving the town over the Christmas period. The picture of the boxes of food shows just one of a very large number of food donations that were given to our Storehouse foodbank in December so that we could keep feeding people at this difficult time of year. Thank you to everyone at church who donated food over this time and to a number of local churches, schools and other organisations that were keen to help people struggling with little food. Also, thank you so much to everyone who gave 170 Christmas presents into the church over December so that we could hand them on to various social services agencies to give out to children who would not be getting much on Christmas Day.

Carols and Candles 2018

We always have a great evening as we gather together to worship with Christmas carols and candles (and glowsticks) and sharing mince pies afterwards.
